Join me today, as I show you how to create a denim pocket for my cards using the Burlap Background stamp. And what about those adorable In Color Bitty Bows? So easy to add an accent to your card. These have a little adhesive circle on the back of them so you can just peel & stick!

I also used the Background Bits Hostess stamp set for the flowers and sentiment. You can earn this stamp set for free by placing an order for $150 on your own or combined with friends and family!

Create with Connie & Mary Saturday Blog Hop!

I just love creating "black & white" cards and projects and that's what we are all doing today for the Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary!

I've added quite a few layers and elements for today's card. I've combined cardstock, designer paper, vellum, die-cuts and punched shapes:

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11" x 4-1/4". Score and fold at 5-1/2" and fold.
  • Layer #2: Pick A Pattern Designer Paper 5-1/2" x 4-1/4". Glue to card front.
  • Layer #3: Vellum Cardstock 4" x 3". Glue to card front at an angle.
  • Layer #4: Whisper White Cardstock 4" x 3". Stamp the no. 1 image using Basic Black Ink at the top right. Glue to card front as shown in the photo.
  • Elements: Stamp the two badge images from Badges & Banners stamp set on Whisper White Cardstock using Basic Black Ink and cut out using the Best Badge Punch. Glue the striped one flat to card front. Glue to sentiment badge using Stampin' Dimensionals. Cut the two branches from the Flourish Thinlits Dies and Whisper White Cardstock and glue tucked under the badge. Color the dotted branch with Clear Wink Of Stella.

Feathery Friend Meets Wink Of Stella!

Hi Everyone! Dave and I are in New Hampshire with friends and it's Dave' birthday today! On Saturday we will be climbing the Mt. Washington Auto Road with our ATV's. Last year we set out to do this and it was total chaos. There were thousands and thousands of people that showed up and they sent a lot of us away because of the chaos and lack of parking due to the overwhelming response. So this year the Auto Road people decided to sell advance tickets and we purchased our tickets within minutes of going on sale. So excited! So if you email or contact me, I won't be back home until Sunday evening.

Today's project is "Clean & Simple with Lots of White Space" and uses the Feathery Friends host stamp set. You can earn this stamp set using your Host Rewards when you submit a $150 order. It's a great time to ask family and friends to combine orders with you so you can earn this for FREE! I added some stamping and some fussy-cutting:

I also added lots and lots of Clear Wink Of Stella....on every stamped and colored image. The stamped images sparkle in real life. It was hard to capture in my photo's but wow, does it sparkle!

This is the color combination I used on today's card:

I mailed this card to one of my customers who is going through some difficult health issues. I just wanted to let her know how amazing she is! How perfect is that cute sentiment? To finish off my card, I added Rhinestone Jewels in the background. Just a few jewels added the perfect touch, don't you think?
